Where do you ship to? what are delivery times?

At this time, The Small Things ships within New Zealand only using NZ Post overnight courier. The shipping cost is $4.95 and takes approximately 1 - 4 working days from shipping date.

What is your current making time?

While I have some items in stock, the majority of The Small Things are handmade to order. This usually takes around 5-7 working days depending on the piece. During holiday/promotional periods this may vary and will be advised on the website. If you need a rush order please contact me via the contact page and I will do my best to accomodate you.
 

What is 14 k gold filled?

Gold filled metal is a base metal that has a layer of 14ct gold (typically 5% total weight) mechanically bonded on to it. The layer of gold is 5 to 10 times thicker than that used with regular gold plating, meaning extra durability against fading, tarnishing and chipping, and giving the look and feel of 14 ct gold. Gold filled metal can last for years with appropriate care.
 

How do i care for my jewellery?

Your pieces are made of high quality 14 ct gold filled, 925 sterling silver, or 9ct gold. Try to avoid getting the pieces wet - do not wear while showering or swimming - especially in chlorinated pools or natural hot springs with sulfur.

Make sure to keep away from perfumes, hair products, lotions or harsh substances.

Please do not sleep or shower in the pieces as they are delicate in nature.

Sterling Silver can naturally tarnish over time . Polish using a microfibre cloth or jewellery polishing cloth regularly. For an extra clean, wash gently with dishwashing liquid or mix baking soda and water into a paste and gently brush with a toothbrush.

It is best to store your pieces in a cool dry, dark location such as a jewellery box, with enough space so that your piece is not touching another piece of jewellery.

If you would to make a customisation, for example a different type of crystal, just get in touch via the contact page. I’ll do my best to accomodate you.
 

Is your jewellery suited to sensitive skins?

Yes. I use only high quality 925 sterling silver, 14ct gold filled or solid 9ct gold The Small Things Jewellery does not contain nickel, a common metal allergen.

What is your returns policy?

If I have made an error or mistake in your order, or if there is a fault in the jewellery, please let me know immediately via the contact page and I will put this right for you by way of repair, refund or exchange. Unfortunately as a maker of jewellery to order I can’t  offer refunds for change of minds.
